The Mine Bouldering Gym Rules

  • Bouldering is dangerous, please be careful.

  • All members and guests must follow all MBG rules and signs.

  • All members and guests will conduct themselves in a safe and reasonable manner and follow all instructions made by the MBG staff. The MBG staff will determine what is safe and reasonable.

  • The MBG staff  may deny participation to any individual who fails to follow the rules of MBG or is conducting themselves in an unsafe/inappropriate manner.

  • The MBG staff reserve the right to limit access to specific areas of the facility to any member or guest at any time.

  • All climbers must have a signed and completed waiver form on file. For people younger than 18, we must have a parent or legal guardian sign for the person.

  • You must check in at the front desk at the beginning of every visit to the gym. If you have not checked in, you do not have permission to climb or use the facilities.

  • No pets (except service animals) smoking, or alcoholic beverages are permitted in the facility.

  • No climbing while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Shirts must be worn at all times.

  • Climbing shoes are required to climb at the gym. Absolutely no bare feet!  If you do not have shoes, you can rent or buy them at the gym.

  • Never climb above, below or cross a route of another climber. Never sit, stand or walk in areas where climbers might fall. Be aware of your surroundings.

  • Proper falling techniques must be used on the bouldering walls.

  • Only climb as high as you are comfortable falling. Please down climb if possible and appropriate.

  • All drinks must have a secure lid and must stay off the pads.

  • Keep climbing area free of personal items. No water bottles, clothes, food, etc on the mats.

  • Oversized belt buckles, spiked or sharp garments or jewelry are not permitted on the bouldering pads.

  • Kids under 14 must be actively supervised by the adult who is responsible for them during their visit to the gym. This parent or guardian must maintain direct supervision over the youth during the entire gym session. One adult cannot supervise more than four children at a time.

  • No running, yelling, foul language, rough housing or acrobatics. This includes flips, cartwheels, handstands, etc.

  • Report any and all injuries, accidents or damage to the MBG staff immediately.

  • Report all problems to a staff member. Problems include loose holds, tape peeling, or other problems.

  • Climbing is a rigorous sport and the potential for injury is high if you are not currently in good physical shape. Before climbing, we advise you to consult with your physician or doctor if you have been inactive, are overweight, or suspect any sort of medical condition that could be worsened by exercise.
